The Crew 2's offline mode is making progress and aiming for an end of year release

In September 2024, Ubisoft announced that The Crew 2 and The Crew: Motorfest would both be getting updated in the future, to allow players to enjoy the game offline. Since then, the team have been quiet on that front, until now.
In the new update video, which is below Gregory Corgie, Producer on the series revealed that the Offline mode would be released for The Crew 2 by the end of 2025. The team are planning to do a series of tests with selected community members, with the first happening in April.
The Offline mode will let players swap between the standard, always online mode, to the offline option whenever they want. Of course, once the game servers are taken offline, the game will always be offline and still playable, unlike The Crew. The challenge the team are facing right now is more around the modes that are tied so very heavily into multiplayer, thus all the tests they are doing. Check out the video if you want to hear more, but for now it looks like the end of the year is the target.
