The Crew Motorfest has been announced and is coming later this year
Having been driving the roads of the USA since 2014 and the release of The Crew and then again in 2018 with The Crew 2, Ubisoft have announced The Crew Motorfest. This new game in the series will leave the USA behind and head to the USA, ok so its leaving the continental USA and hitting up the island life of O'ahu, the main island in the chain known as Hawaii.
If you are thinking that there was another open world racing game set on O’ahu then you would be correct, but there has been a number of years since Test Drive Unlimited released. While the location might be the same, the racing will be anything but, as players will get the chance to fly down the steep slopes of a volcano, off-road through lush forests, or chill out on the beach. Whether you play solo or with your whole crew, the entire island will be fully explorable from behind the wheel of hundreds of vehicles.
Like a few other Ubisoft titles, the team at Ivory Tower have announced that there will be an insider program for The Crew Motorfest, which will welcome players in, giving them early access to the game, in exchange for honest feedback. Registrations can be made here, but don’t get in if you register, you need to be selected.
With the reveal happening, the team have made a video, the first in a series that helps explain why Hawaii was chosen and more, check it out.
Of course, you need to know platforms, well the game is hitting the usual suspects, Xbox Series X|S, PlayStation 5 and PC, with last gen platforms Xbox One and PlayStation 4 getting the game as well. There is no date beyond 2023, but later in the year is highly likely, unless the studio opts to delay the game, which is becoming a standard action at Ubisoft.
