Madden NFL 26 revealed for Nintendo Switch 2 and other platforms

Overnight, Electronic Arts revealed that Madden NFL 26 was coming, which let’s face it, was no real surprise. However, while the information only talks about the PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S versions of the game, they have made listing available on Nintendo’s eShop. Check the announcement trailer below.
Just a heads up, the trailer above is for the ‘full’ experience, which means College Football and then NFL, but EA Sports College Football 26 is only going to PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S, just like the 2024 release.
EA SPORTS™ Madden NFL 26 and EA SPORTS™ Madden NFL 26 Deluxe Edition + Limited Time Bonus, listings have been added, which mostly just confirm the game is coming. There are no screens, no video or really anything of substance, the listing for the game just has the following:
Dominate the league in EA SPORTS™ Madden NFL 26. Years of NFL game data powers next-level coaching, QB authenticity, and explosive gameplay. Every game is a new challenge on your path to becoming an NFL legend.
This game includes optional in-game purchases of virtual currency that can be used to acquire virtual in-game items, including a random selection of virtual in-game items.
That is for the base game which has a RRP of $109.95, but the more expensive game is priced at $149.95 and includes the game, plus the following:
Season 1 Elite Player Item and additional content:
3 Day Early Access
4600 MUT points
Early Access Solo Challenges
MUT Cover Athlete Elite Player Item
Franchise Coach Ability Points
Super Star Legendary XP Boost
Player Card Exclusive Item
The base game is set to release on August 15 for Nintendo Switch 2, PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S and PC, with the Deluxe Edition coming out three days earlier.
