Xbox Series S is real and coming this November
After a series of leaks yesterday, Xbox confirmed late last night that the Xbox Series S is real and is coming this November 10, which likely makes it the same day as the Xbox Series X, check out the trailer for the smaller console below.
The console will feature mostly the same internals as the Series X, but with a few concessions to make it smaller, one noticeable difference, no disc drive. Yep, if you go Series S, then you are looking at an all digital platform, meaning no buying a second hand game for cheap.
The interesting part is the price, $299 US, is the same price as the 1tb Xbox One S, making it an affordable option, the best part is that here, the One S goes for $379, which if the Series S follows and launches at that price, or near it, would make for one fantastic price point. The rumoured price of the big boy the Series X is that of $699, so if you can save a few hundred dollars, it might be worth it.
We are now just waiting on the local Xbox team to confirm if we are getting it here this year and if so what the price will be, but I would not imagine things being to different.
