The Odyssey OLED G9 from Samsung will arrive here this month
Samsung Australia have announced that the Odyssey OLED G9 ultrawide gaming monitor, will arrive into the country on April 24th, with the low price of $2,699.
Measuring 49 inches in size with a 1800R curvature, the Odyssey OLED G9 is Samsung’s first OLED monitor to offer Dual Quad High Definition (DQHD; 5,120 x 1,440) resolution with a 32:9 ratio. The large and wide screen ratio enables gamers who don’t play fair to lose themselves in super-ultrawide vistas — equivalent to two QHD screens side by side. At the same time, its rapid 0.03ms gray-to-gray (GtG) response time and 240Hz refresh rate offers players a competitive edge.
The Odyssey OLED G9 features a slim design housed within a sleek metal frame. On the back of the monitor is the much-loved CoreSync and Core Lighting+ which uses advanced lighting technology to match the colours on-screen, making content incredibly immersive. Built-in stereo speakers complement on-screen content with crisp sound.
The same day the screen launches in Australia, the Samsung Gaming Hub will also go live here as its currently not. This hub will let players stream Xbox Game Pass for PC and NVIDIA GeForce Now content, without anything other than a compatible screen and a controller.
You can get all the technical specs on the monitor here and if you register your interest here, before the monitor goes on sale, Samsung will provide as they say “an exclusive offer”, no idea what that is though.
