Samsung are bringing the Odyssey OLED G8 to local gamers next month

Samsung have announced that the Odyssey OLED G8 ultra-thin gaming monitor is coming down under and will arrive in stores next month.

First announced at IFA 2022, the Odyssey OLED G8 is Samsung’s first OLED gaming monitor, they say that it is designed to deliver the brilliant colour, brighter whites and true deep blacks. What makes it special is that it requires no backlighting while delivering true RGB and is VESA DisplayHDR 400 True Black Certified, ensuring content appears vivid and life-like with accurate colour and contrast reproduction.

The Odyssey OLED G8 is an exciting addition to our gaming monitor lineup, delivering such vivid colour and our fastest response time yet for high-speed gameplay. Combined with Smart TV functionality that we’ve started to bring across into our Odyssey range, it’s a fantastic, all-in-one monitor for Australians looking to game, work and watch from one screen. Moreover its razor sharp design, super thin body and silver metal finish have taken gaming monitors into a whole new design space that you’d be proud to show off from any room in your home.

As an ultra-wide display, it comes with a QHD resolution (3,440 x 1,440) display has a 21:9 aspect ratio with 100% colour volume and DCI-99.3% colour gamut for incredible visuals regardless of the game being played.

You can order the screen for yourself direct from Samsung or selected retailers, just note that the price is set at $1,999 so it ain’t a cheap display.
