The Age of series is coming to PlayStation 5 with Mythology and II

Xbox and World’s Edge have announced that another pair of games are coming to PlayStation 4 with Age of Mythology: Retold coming in March and then Age of Empires II: Definitive Edition coming later on.

First up is Age of Mythology: Retold, which takes the Age of formula but applies it to the myths of Greek, Norse, Egyptian and Atlantean. On March 4, the same day that the game hits PlayStation 5 the Chinese pantheon will be made available to all versions of the game, if you own the Premium Edition or buy separately.

PlayStation 5 Bonuses:

  • Get the Premium Edition for 5-day early access starting February 27th, access to the new Immortal Pillars expansion, and much more!

  • Pre-order now and enjoy two exclusive Blessings for the Arena of the Gods mode.

All game updates from March 4th onwards will go to all platforms simultaneously – Steam, Windows Store, Xbox and PlayStation 5 – and players will be able to play together.  If you want you can pre-order the game here, both the standard and premium versions.

In addition, sometime this Autumn (no date yet) Age of Empires II: Definitive Edition will also come to PlayStation 5. The version that players there will get will contain every update and content released to date, but on that same date an all-new expansion will also release. That content will also come to Xbox and PC players as well, but what it is, is a unknown for now.

Well not exactly a complete unknown as the team at World’s Edge have released two screens from it, which you can see below.
