HyperX unveil new hardware options for gamers at CES 2023
HyperX have announced a few new items for gamers, all around giving you better control over the action, thanks to CES 2023. With an updated controller and refined mice, it is a decent line up.
“CES is the perfect venue for HyperX to highlight our commitment to providing high-performance gaming products for all gamers,” said HyperX. “Whether you game on an Xbox controller or PC, HyperX is bringing the latest top-quality products for gamers to enjoy with immersive and engaging gaming along with wireless freedom, convenience, and customisation.”
Officially called the HyperX Clutch Gladiate Enhanced Wired Controller for Xbox, this controller features dual trigger locks and mappable rear buttons, to give players even more control over their games. Plus the dual rumble motors should add a new sense of impact to all the events that take place in your game. With all those options and feedback, holding onto the controller shouldn’t be too difficult as there are textured grips around where you hold it and like a good controller, it comes with a 3.5mm headphone jack, should you need it.
For those who game only on PC, the HyperX Pulsefire Haste 2 Wireless Gaming Mouse might just be what you were after. Using Bluetooth 3 or a 2.4GHz, you can connect however you would like, but even with dual connection offerings the mouse barely cracks 60 grams in weight. That number is even crazier when you learn that the mouse has a 100 hour battery life on it, meaning even the most intense gaming sessions will see you fail, long before the mouse does.
HyperX have stated that the Pulsefire Haste 2 will deliver quick and smooth movement, as it uses their high precision 26K sensor and combines with the PTFE skates, to let the mouse glide upon any surface. Something which is becoming a little more common now though is that the mouse will also come in black and white colours, so you can have things match even further.
In addition to the wireless model, they are also doing a wired option, which is lighter, but uses that same 26K sensor to provide the best input possible. Both mice can be controlled by the HyperX NGENUITY software, to allow for RGB customisation, along with button assignments, sensor performance, and record macros.
The only details we don’t have are a release date and exact pricing. We know that the Xbox controller is aiming for a March release and has a RRP in America of $35 or roughly $50, but then add tax and all that good stuff. Both mice are aiming for an April release with the wired one priced at $60 USD and the wireless at $80 USD, or $88 AUD and $116 AUD respectively. Of course, local pricing could be much higher or lower, but at least this gives a good starting point.
