The HyperX Cloud Alpha Wireless headset is offering battery life that is sky high
With CES 2022 almost here, HyperX have announced a few of their 2022 line up and one item in question is the new Cloud Alpha Wireless headset, which keeps the basic look of the other Cloud series headphones the company has released, but now includes a staggering 300 hours of battery life.
You read that right, 300 hours, to put it in perspective for you, you could wear these headphones and watch all of The Matrix movies, The Lord of the Rings Extended Cut movies, The Hobbit Extended Cut movies, Harry Potter movies, Star Wars movies and all of the Marvel Cinematic Universe movies and you would only be nearing the halfway point on battery use, for those who want maths that is around 142 hours.
Beyond that insane battery life, the headset also comes with DTS support, providing a cleaner audio profile and when you combine that with the updated, custom designed Dual Chamber technology and the 50mm drivers, the experience will be amazing. Plus with the new 50mm drivers being thinner than in years past, it makes the headset lighter than ever before.
One of the elements I like is that the headset features a detachable noise-cancelling mic with LED status indicator and onboard audio controls on the ear cup.
There is one big restriction on these headphones, at least if you are on Xbox and that is that they won’t work for you. Due to the codecs that the Xbox platform works, they will only work on PC, PlayStation 5 and PlayStation 4.
Of course, for those who want the full spec breakdown, HyperX have provided it and you can check it below:
