Fallout 76 goes free for a limited time, in remembrance of the day the bombs fell

Bethesda have announced that in celebration, or better yet remembrance of October 23rd, the day the bombs fell in the Fallout world, the game is free to play on all platforms and that if you choose to buy the game during that week, you can get it for up to 75 % off.

The free play period has started now and will run through until October 25th, so you have some time to experience the game. Should you purchase Fallout 76 after the Free Play Week, all your progress carries over so you can keep on exploring post-nuclear West Virginia without missing a beat.

A few little catches though, for those on Xbox or PlayStation, you need to have Xbox Live Gold or PlayStation Plus to play the game, due to the restrictions on those platforms. The game is also available to buy from the Windows 10 store, but it won’t be included during the Free Play Period, so Bethesda Launcher, Steam or Xbox Play Anywhere is your best bet.
