Avowed wows with a new trailer and a 2024 release
After showing up in the Xbox Developer Direct 2024, Avowed also showed up at the Xbox Games Showcase 2024 and this time lost its Fall 2024 release date, at least for America, Spring for us. Check out the new trailer below.
When Xbox and developer Obsidian showed off the game in January 2024, it was tagged as “Avowed when it launches this fall for Xbox Series X|S, PC, and Cloud“ however today it just states 2024. For those who are not American, which is most of the world, their ‘Fall’ or the Autumn season starts on September 23rd and runs through to December 22nd. Soon after the show the games website stated November 12 for release, but that was pulled almost right away, so who the hell knows what is going on with their release dates.
As for the new trailer, it showed off that nothing is always what it might seem at first. We also got to see Giatta in action, one of the games four companions that can come along on your grand adventure. As an envoy of the Aedyran Empire, you’re tasked with stopping the Dreamscourge, a mysterious blight wreaking havoc on the tumultuous frontier. Your soul hangs in the balance as you navigate the chaos of the Living Lands and embrace its wonders. Prepare for an expedition into the perilous, captivating, and utterly bizarre unknown where you will forge your destiny and shape the fate of the frontier.
Whenever the game does release, it will come to Xbox Series X|S and PC, with it also being a day one release into Game Pass.
