Diablo IV Vessel of Hatred gets a release date and details

As part of the Xbox Games Showcase 2024, the release date for the Diablo IV expansion, Vessel of Hatred was revealed. Players will be able to continue the story of the game on October 8, as part of the news the opening cinematic was revealed as well, just be aware it is a little intenseness at times.

When players load into the game, they will be able to explore Nahantu, a new jungle region that is full of secrets, along with new dungeons, strongholds and demons from a number of warring tribes. Thankfully, you won’t have to go at it alone, as Mercenaries are coming to the game. These powerful allies grow in power as they progress, and each are equipped with unique abilities to help you in combat.

But combat may not be a threat to you, if you play as the new class Spiritborn. Ranked among the apex predators of the jungle, the Spiritborn is an entirely new class to the Diablo series. They are battle-hardened with mystical synergies that could only be awakened deep within the jungles of Nahantu. Become one of the Spiritborn and embrace the ethereal Spirits entwined with this ancient civilisation.

There will also be a new co-op PvE mode for the game, where you need to work with friends to complete a series of objectives, which includes slaying a boss found within a multi-layered dungeon.

There are a few ways to pick up the expansion, if you just want the base experience then the Standard Edition will do you fine. It includes Alkor the snow leopard pet, and a Mother’s Lament Legendary gem in Diablo Immortal, seen below.

For those wanting a little more there is the Deluxe Edition, which includes everything in the Standard edition, plus Hratli the canine pet, the Nahantu War-cat Mount and a Premium Seasonal Battle Pass Unlock in Diablo IV. Just be aware you to unlock the Nahantu War-cat Mount first, before you can make use of it.

Finally, if you want everything there is the Ultimate Edition, it includes everything in the Deluxe edition, plus the Nahantu Unearthed Armor bundle, Natalya the tiger pet, 3,000 platinum, the Wings of the Faith Cosmetic, and a Nahantu-themed town portal.
