If you want to buy a game on your PC, PlayStation or Xbox, for years now, you could do so via your PC or phone, countless places allowed for that. Nintendo fans started to get that in other parts of the world, but even then it was sometimes restricted.

Today though, Nintendo Australia has done something we never thought would happen here, they launched a website, that works on computer, tablets and phones, allowing you to buy games without needing your Switch at hand.

Well, I say that they launched a website, all they have done is create a front end, that lets you view the offers, before going to the eShop’s backend pages, which is what the Switch uses anyway, but regardless of the how, it means you can now see what is on sale, what is coming up, what demos are around and more, without needing your Switch in hand.

What Nintendo have done is finally join the other console makers, in letting you decide where you want to buy games from, it is not a seamless experience, what with new tabs opening and no ability to buy more than one game at a time, but considering yesterday we had nothing official, this is one massive step in the right direction.
