The Gauntlet is coming to Diablo IV next week

Blizzard have announced that Diablo IV is going to get a new challenge next week when The Gauntlet arrives, as part of a mid-season update to the Season of the Construct.

So what is The Gauntlet? Well it is a new dungeon, but its a non-linear one that is fixed and will challenge players from the same class to complete it and take top spot on the leader boards. At the end of each week, The Gauntlet will reset, ensuring that if you didn’t get number 1 then, you might this next week.

As you venture through, this is not a time trial, so running to the end is not the goal, but for the actions you do, you will obtain Proofs of Might. These can be done by slaying demons, opening chests and completing events that pop up, plus Pillars are scattered around the place and can give extra Proofs from each monster that you kill.

Leaderboards are separated by Class, Party size, Normal, and Hardcore. Those who place in the Top 100 of any ladder will earn a Conqueror’s Crest Mount Trophy. Placing in the Top 10 of any Leaderboard will immortalise your name and character in the Hall of the Ancients.
