The first trailer for Star Wars: Obi-Wan Kenobi is here
With around two months to go until it releases, Lucasfilm have released the first teaser trailer for Star Wars: Obi-Wan Kenobi, the limited series that explores some of what happens between the end of Episode 3 and before Episode 4, check it out.
The show is coming to Disney+ on May 25th, which is the same date as the release of Star Wars back in 1977 and apart from the recent movies from Disney, was the same month as all the other movies were released. Below is the official synopsis of the show, which doesn’t really explain anything, so no worry on avoiding spoilers.
The story begins 10 years after the dramatic events of “Star Wars: Revenge of the Sith” where Obi-Wan Kenobi faced his greatest defeat—the downfall and corruption of his best friend and Jedi apprentice, Anakin Skywalker, who turned to the dark side as evil Sith Lord Darth Vader.
The series stars Ewan McGregor, reprising his role as the iconic Jedi Master, and also marks the return of Hayden Christensen in the role of Darth Vader. Joining the cast are Moses Ingram, Joel Edgerton, Bonnie Piesse, Kumail Nanjiani, Indira Varma, Rupert Friend, O’Shea Jackson Jr., Sung Kang, Simone Kessell and Benny Safdie.
