Obi-Wan Kenobi, the next Star Wars series, will debut on Disney+ This May
Disney and Lucasfilm have announced that Obi-Wan Kenobi, the new series about Obi-Wan Kenobi, will debut on Disney+ on May 25th, missing the chance for a May the 4th release.
The story begins 10 years after the dramatic events of “Star Wars: Revenge of the Sith” where Obi-Wan Kenobi faced his greatest defeat—the downfall and corruption of his best friend and Jedi apprentice, Anakin Skywalker, who turned to the dark side as evil Sith Lord Darth Vader.
Ewen McGregor is returning to play the role and alongside him will be Hayden Christensen as Darth Vader, the last time both actors were on the screen together, they were playing the characters in Revenge of the Sith. Joining the cast are Moses Ingram, Joel Edgerton, Bonnie Piesse, Kumail Nanjiani, Indira Varma, Rupert Friend, O’Shea Jackson Jr., Sung Kang, Simone Kessell and Benny Safdie.
Finally, we also got a new poster for the show, which shows the titular Obi-Wan walking across the sand, is it Tattooine, most likely but we shall have to wait for the show to air, before we know for certain.
