The fight is back on as Double Dragon Gaiden: Rise of the Dragons is releasing this July
Modus Games and developer Secret Base have announced that Double Dragon Gaiden: Rise of the Dragons will release for all platforms on July 27th. In celebration of this a new trailer for the game has been released, check it out.
While the game sports a familiar name, most everything about it has been given a modern update, with new pixel art that evokes the old school design. In addition the games soundtrack has been given a modern touch, with familiar beats happening as you lay the smack down.
With unlockable bonuses, adjustable difficulty levels and optional permadeath and infinite modes, Double Dragon Gaiden: Rise of the Dragons is a robust revitalization of the series’ signature side scrolling action. With two-player local co-op, the action quadruples as you and a friend clean up the mean streets of NYC. Online co-op is planned as a post-launch update later this year.
