The collector's edition for MLB The Show 22 has been detailed
With each release of MLB The Show, there is always a few editions to choose from and this year, that is even more true, with the inclusion of Switch, but while the portable platform is only getting the standard release, both PlayStation and Xbox gamers have a few choices to make.
Ramone Russell took to both the PlayStation Blog and the Xbox Wire, still weird to see that in a sentence, to talk about the cover art for the MVP Edition, or the Collector’s Edition if you prefer that name.
Shohei Ohtani was our unanimous choice to be on the cover of MLB The Show 22, but we wanted to do something special for the Collector’s Edition(s). You might not know this, but Shohei is a big fan of manga and anime; he has been since his years attending Hanamaki Higashi High School in Japan. His passion for baseball has always been high but his love for a specific manga series made him love baseball more.
That love for manga and anime lead the studio to reach out to famed creator Takashi Okazaki, who agreed to create the cover art, which is at the top of the story, showing Ohtani-san as a manga character.
To get that, you need to look at getting either the MVP Edition or the Digital Deluxe Edition, the prices in the below infographic are for the US, not for us, but it does provide a solid viewing of the inclusions for each.
