Star Wars Tales of the Empire is arriving this May
In a move that is a bit surprising, Disney and Lucasfilm have announced a new short series called Tales of the Jedi Empire, which will follow two characters Nightsister Morgan Elsbeth and former Jedi Barriss Offee. Check out the trailer for it below.
Just like Tales of the Jedi, this is a six episode series, with 3 for each character. Morgan Elsbeth is a character that popped up first in the live action shows, specifically in the second season of The Mandalorian, but then got a much larger role in Ahoska.
Barriss Offee is a character from The Clone Wars animated series, which saw her blow up the Jedi Temple, though she framed Ahsoka Tano for it. Both Offee and Elsbeth will be voiced by Meredith Salenger and Diana Lee Inosanto respectively, the first voiced the character in The Clone Wars and the second portrayed her in live action.
The rest of the cast is full of some returning favourites like Jason Isaccs as the Grand Inquisitor a role he took on in Star Wars Rebels and Lars Mikkelsen, another Star Wars Rebels alum returning as Thrawn. Matthew Wood will voice General Grievous once again, with Rya Kihlstedt voicing the Fourth Sister, returning from the Obi-Wan Kenobi series and Wing T. Chao will once again voice Governor Wing the leader of the city where first met Elsbeth.
The series will release in full on May 4th, so Star Wars day. You can check out the series official poster below, along with a selection of stills from the shorts.
