Shadowman: Darque Legacy is bringing the series back
It has been 21 years since the release of the last Shadow Man game and almost 24 years since the first, but the acclaimed (hehe) character is finally coming back to the realm of games with Shadowman: Darque Legacy from local folks Blowfish Studios.
While the original games focused on Michael LeRoi, this new game will have players picking up the mantle of the Shadowman as Jack Boniface. Without so much as a by your leave, Jack is thrust into the path of a growing evil that threatens everything his predecessors fought for.
The story will be based on the comic series, yes Shadowman started as a comic, this new game is a new tale that is being created alongside the folks at Valiant Entertainment.
As for what the game will have you face, well there will be a horrifying cast of enemies that will put your new skills to the test in challenging, visceral combat. But it won’t just be beings from Deadside that are the problem, as you will have to clash with the fanatical Brethren cultists from our world. These are not just basic folks, but rather some hammer-wielding brutes or sorcerous necromancers, and battle truly wretched creatures that have slithered forth from the most desolate depths. Thankfully you won’t be totally ill-prepared as the game will offer up a range of Shadowman weapons.
The game will also take you to Deadside and back to Liveside, with some puzzles in the game requiring you to swap back and forth to solve.
As for when the game will be out? There is no date, not a 2023 or 2024, just nothing. We do know that it will come to PC, Xbox and PlayStation whenever it does release.
