Lego 2K Drive will offer up seasons of content post release
2K have announced that once Lego 2K Drive is out and racing, players will be given access to content for at least a year, with the reveal of the Year 1 Drive Pass.
Across Year 1 there will be four seasons of content and within each one will be 100 levels of rewards to earn, which is pretty normal for this type of game extending mechanic. Players will be able to buy a Drive Pass to cover off all four seasons, or buy each season on their own.
If you do opt to buy the full season as once, you will be given access to the Awesome Pizza Vehicle and 550 Coins you can use in Unkie's Emporium.
Where things change for this game from others is that the seasons are not locked to a time frame. Let is assume season 3 starts on October 31st, in most games that would mean season 2 content is no longer obtainable, but not here. Once a season of content goes live, you can work towards it at anytime.
Even better, if you spend six weeks of a season working on the free content and decide you do want the premium, buying the Drive Pass for that season, will unlock all the content based on your level. Meaning you don’t have to start over.
The full details of what each Drive Pass will offer are not yet known, but more cars and pieces are very likely.
