Rainbow Six Siege next gen updates detailed

Ubisoft reconfirmed during their second Ubisoft Forward event, that later this year, Rainbow Six Siege will release on Xbox Series X and PlayStation 5, bringing new updates and features for those that make the jump.

Making the jump will be pretty easy, as the game will support free upgrades for all existing players, meaning if you have the game on Xbox One, via disc or digital means, you will be able to play the game on Xbox Series X. The only catch is that if you have it on disc, you won’t get the free update on the Xbox Series S or PlayStation 5 Digital Edition, as they have no disc drive.

Those who do make the switch will find that can experience the action that they have come to enjoy, now in 4K and 12fps, but the best news is that the game will be a cross-generation game, meaning next-gen players will be able to play with current-gen players on the same family of devices.

The game has just kicked off its third season of year 5 by adding Sam Fisher to the game, though for some reason he is going by the name Zero.
