Overwatch 2 at Blizzcon has revealed a new hero and more to come
As part of the Blizzcon Opening Ceremonies, it was revealed that Overwatch 2 would be getting a new hero in the form of Maui.. I mean Mauga, a tank character, check out their trailer below.
Equipped with two chain guns (Gunny and Cha-Cha), Mauga is ready to bash through the front lines of his opponents and tear through anyone that stands in his way with tons of fire-power
Mauga’s not just a leading star—he also brings a host of new abilities to support his team as well. Mauga can break his way through the front lines with Overrun, a charging ability that cannot be stopped by any crowd control abilities, and stomps into opponents dealing a powerful knockback. When the fight gets intense for his team, he has Cardiac Overdrive to engage both of his hearts and create an aura that reduces incoming damage, allowing allies to heal themselves while dealing damage.
There is still more news to come at the What’s Next for Overwatch 2 panel. We do know that there is a new game mode coming, called Clash, which is a PvP game mode where players will visit the new Hanaoka map, inspired by an original fan favourite, Hanamura. If that was not enough there are two more characters being teased, you can see their first art below.
