Noir is bringing back Nicholas Cage as Spider-Man Noir in a new TV series

Amazon MGM Studios and Sony‌ ‌Pictures‌ ‌Television‌ have announced they are working together to bring Spider-Man Noir to the TV screen, via his very own series. The best news, Nicholas Cage will star as the titular character.

Details are scarce, as you might imagine given its just been announced, but we do have a basic outline of the story.

Noir tells the story of an aging and down on his luck private investigator in 1930s New York, who is forced to grapple with his past life as the city’s one and only superhero.

The show will be executive produced by Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse creators Phil Lord and Christopher Miller with the movies producer Amy Pascal also on board. The showrunners, the people that set the tone and keep things going are Oren Uziel and Steve Lightfoot, the former worked on 22 Jump Street with Lord and Miller, while the latter worked on Marvel’s The Punisher, the Netflix TV series.

Expanding the Marvel universe with Noir is a uniquely special opportunity and we are honoured to bring this series to our global Prime Video customers. The extremely talented Nicolas Cage is an ideal choice for our new superhero and the accomplished producing team with Phil Lord, Christopher Miller, Amy Pascal, and the incredible team at Sony is dedicated to expanding this franchise in the most authentic way.

There is no release info for the show, which is to be expected but its highly likely we won’t see it until 2026 at the earliest.
