MLB The Show 25 is stepping up to bat in March

PlayStation Studios and MLB have once again announced that MLB The Show 25 will step up to the plate on March 28, giving players a chance to live out their baseball dreams and for the first time, the series is dropping last gen support.

There are two ways of picking up the game on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and Nintendo Switch. The first is the standard release, which will happen on March 18 and the second is the Digital Deluxe Edition, which will grant players access 4 days earlier. The game will not be included in Game Pass this year, so Xbox fans will need to buy if they want to play ball.

The series is also turning 20 years old this year, so the studio is going big with a trio of cover stars, with Paul Skenes, Elly De La Cruz, and Gunnar Henderson all getting on the box. The last one is no relation to me.

The official website has more details on each of the athletes, so head over there to learn more. It has not been confirmed yet, but they have done it for years now, but as the games release draws closer, we should expect to see breakdowns of some of their bigger changes and additions to the series.

Pre-orders for the game will go live on Feb 4th, which is likely when we will get the first gameplay trailer.
