Life is Strange Double Exposure delivers new details via a livestream

While Life is Strange Double Exposure was only just revealed, Square Enix and the team at Deck Nine were not keen on slowing down as overnight they hosted a livestream where they spoke about the game, in depth.

The video below runs for around 50 minutes and includes the games director, Jonathan Stauder and the games narrative director Felice Kuan.

We knew that this had to be something special. We also knew we had to respect the two unforgettable endings to the first chapter of Max’s story, while also crafting something new. Something fresh, that echoed and acknowledged Max’s past challenges, even as it moved her personal story forward. Welcoming in new players from the very beginning, while giving fans the story they didn’t know they wanted.

Later during the steam Hannah Telle popped in to talk about Max, the character that she played in the first game and Max’s little appearances since then and now in Double Exposure.

As Max has evolved, her powers have evolved too. She didn’t use that power for a really long time, because it creates so much devastation. So it adapted into something different. She now has this supernatural ability to move between two timelines, giving her a unique position to figure out what’s really going on with Safi’s murder.

If you want to enjoy the full stream, you can do so below. The game itself is set to launch on October 29 for PC, PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S, Nintendo Switch fans will need to wait a while longer, as the game is coming but there is no date.

Anyone who wants to get into the story earlier can pick up the Ultimate Edition, which provides access to chapters 1 and 2, two weeks ahead of the full release.
