Halo Infinite has been dated for late 2021

Initially it was meant to be a Series X launch title, then it was delayed until sometime in 2021, well we now know that Halo Infinite will release sometime in the american fall 2021, or for us, sometime between September 1st to November 30.

On a Halo Waypoint blog post, Joseph Staten of 343 Industries announced the new release window. After getting feedback from the public reveal of the game back in July 2020, it seems many discussions were had.

This discussion boiled down to one fundamental truth: we needed more time to do things right. That included pushing hard in the Fall, giving the team time to recharge over the Holidays, and then coming back in January to finish the game at a healthy pace.

Because Halo Infinite in the Fall of 2021… is just the beginning of the adventure.

There is a lot more to read, so head on over, but for those wondering, the games multiplayer will be free-to-play, meaning you won’t need to invest money into the campaign, if you only want to play online.
