God of War Ragnarök is delivering the goods, with multiple ways for players to get the game this November
With God of War Ragnarok getting a release date for November 9, that means it is time to start thinking of the ways in which you can get the game and PlayStation have a few options for you. From just the game on its own, to the insane Jötnar Edition, there is a lot to look at, so let us take a look.
Before we get into the details, there is something to note, with Gran Turismo 7 and Horizon Forbidden West, PlayStation offered a free upgrade to the next-gen versions of the game, as promised. With God of War Ragnarok, their first major release since those games, that free upgrade path no longer exists, but they have you covered. If you want to get the game on PlayStation 4 this year and then upgrade to the PlayStation 5 down the line, it will cost you the difference in the RRP, so around $20 or so, the exact price will be confirmed soon.
If you are already visiting your favourite game seller trying to get these for yourself, just hold on, as pre-orders are not expected to begin until 10am on July 15th in North America, which would mean 3am on July 16 for us. Be sure to keep an eye out on the PlayStation Australia Twitter, so you can see when local orders are set to open.
First up is just the game on its own, so if you just want that and nothing else, then this is the one for you. However the game on its own will still come with some items, they are:
Kratos Risen Snow Armor
Atreus Risen Snow Tunic (cosmetic).
Both items are provided by a code in with the game, if you go the physical route, so you will need to download them, digital buyers will get them as part of the package.
For those seeking a purely digital experience, there is the aptly named Digital Deluxe Edition, which again features the game, but unlike the regular digital or physical release, grants access to both platforms of the game, no upgrade to pay down the track.
