Ghost of Yōtei has been announced and is coming in 2025
The final game shown off during the recent State of Play was the next entry in the Ghost series from Sucker Punch, because it is now a series with Ghost of Yōtei keeping the spirit alive, but with a new protagonist in Atsu and a new location to discover. Check out the reveal trailer below.
Details on the game are scarce, but we do know that the new character is Atsu, and her story takes place in 1603 about 300 years after that of Jin. The new location will be the lands surrounding Mount Yōtei in the region of Ezo or Hokkaido as it is known today.
As the region was not ruled by Japan back then, there is not as much structure to the people who call the land home, but the dangers won’t just come from the samurai, the grasslands and snowy tundra’s will all hide their own dangers.
There is no release date for the game, beyond a 2025 window and that is unlikely to change until next year.
