Diablo IV details its post launch plans
Blizzard have released a big post on the official Diablo 4 website, that delves into how the game will continue on with its post launch content plans, including Seasons, Battle Passes and more.
First up, let us talk about Seasons, which should be a familiar term to most gamers these days. Seasons will introduce fresh concepts and ideas into the world of Sanctuary, with the first expected to start in mid to late July. The only requirement for this season is that players will need to have finished the campaign, which means you have about six weeks to do that.
Part of each season will be the Season Journey, it is here that players will find new content available in the season and with the included challenges, within each chapter, it will help you keep track of what you are earning.
For those who live by the Battle Pass, there will be a free tier for all players, with 27 levels to work through, but if you buy the pass for the season, you will get another 63 levels of content to earn. Why those specific numbers, no idea, perhaps it was just to be different.
There are also Season Blessings, which provide you with a bonus to earning XP, Gold, or Obols depending on what you choose and you can have more than one blessing active at a time.
Finally, there is the shop. While the game will let you acquire hundreds of transmogs, weapons, and pieces of armour, including dozens of armour sets, the shop will give you even more options for choosing how you look. The most important aspect for the cosmetics. none of the Cosmetics sold in the Shop provide anything greater than aesthetic variety.
There is so much more to discover about the plans, reading the full post is a requirement.
