Dead Island 2 has been delayed... it begins again
In a move that seems pretty on brand for the series, Dead Island 2 has been delayed and will no longer release as planed, with the game now picking up an April release date.
The news was shared via Twitter, you can read the full statement below.
The delay is just 12 short weeks and development is on the final straight now. The new release date for Dead Island 2 will be April 28th 2023.#DeadIsland #SeeYouInHELLA pic.twitter.com/Vf1NARTECo

This is sad news for those who were hoping to get hands on soon, but as I said above, its pretty standard for the series. When Dead Island 2 was first announced, years ago now, it saw constant delays and then eventually just stopped updating people on its progress.
The massive amount of titles that are being delayed these days, highlight another issue with the industry, but that is a topic for another time.
The new release date being April 28th, means that there is another 3 months to wait, thankfully the team are hosting a live stream presentation for the game. Be sure to check out our Events Page to learn when.
