Classic DOOM titles come to all consoles... Today!
In a move that came out of nowhere, during the QuakeCon DOOM Panel, Bethesda and id Software, announced that the original DOOM, its follow up DOOM II and DOOM 3 are out now on all consoles, Switch, PlayStation 4 and Xbox One, as well as mobile.
The games are the same as you remember, with the DOOM 3 version, being the BFG Edition, complete with the extra content of Resurrection of Evil and Lost Missions. There is a little hiccup on them, you need to sign into a Bethesda.net account in order to play, but it is a once and done sort of thing.
If you were thinking of getting the Xbox 360 ports on your Xbox One, they have been removed from the Backwards Compatibility list, so now the only option is the new versions.
