DOOM Eternal releases the first of its DLC today and there is plenty more to come
The first DLC for DOOM Eternal has been released, you can catch the launch trailer for the game below, but it highlights two important things. The first is that the Season Pass now states Year One, indicating that there is more planned content than just the two announced packs, which given that DOOM Eternal is coming to next gen consoles makes sense.
The second thing it highlights is that there is still no word on the Switch release, when the game was initially due out in 2019, the Switch release was meant to be day and date with the other platforms. However, when the delay was announced Switch lost its release date and just got 2020 as a year, but since then there has been no official word from Bethesda about the game, in fact we know more about the next gen versions of DOOM Eternal than we do the Switch release.
While I doubt the game is cancelled, as game direct Hugo Martin has mentioned as recently as July that the game is coming along on Switch and looks great, the lack of official update is concerning.
