Call of Duty Modern Warfare is ready for Season Two
Activision stated to tease it last week and now they have unveiled Season Two of Call of Duty Modern Warfare, complete with new and returning maps, new weapons and of course, the return of Ghost.
In Season Two, Al-Qatala agents have stolen a Soviet nuclear warhead and smuggled it into the city of Verdansk. Combined with previously obtained chemical gas, Al-Qatala is determined to cut off Verdansk from the rest of the world. On the brink of a global catastrophe, Captain Price sends in Ghost to track down the location of the warhead and lead key Operators before it’s too late.
Here is the current planned roadmap, including everything that lands at release and what is expected over the course of the season.
There are many new maps to experience, including Atlas Superstore, but fans will likely be more impressed with the return of Rust, an oil yard in the middle of the desert. The site of the Modern Warfare 2 Campaign mission, “Endgame”, may be just that for players who don’t learn the tricks to master this arid field of play. Utilize the environment for cover and grab the high ground and low ground to take advantage of your enemies.
For those looking for new there is the Atlas Superstore and in this new map, which takes place in a supercenter warehouse that has been taken over by Al-Qatala forces, players will battle in dense lanes of traffic, over fallen shelving, and throughout the shipping, receiving, and employee-only areas. Clean up on aisle six!
