Beyond Good & Evil is back in a 20th anniversary edition next week

Ubisoft have announced that Beyond Good & Evil is coming to modern platforms next week with the 20th Anniversary Edition, which adds a few bonus features to the game. Check out the reveal trailer below.

As Jade - a penniless young photographer/lighthouse keeper/orphan caregiver/martial artist - players will set out alongside her adoptive uncle Pey'j to explore Hillys, a watery planet under constant threat from the DomZ aliens. Initially looking to use Jade's photography skills to document local wildlife and earn enough to keep the lights on, the two quickly find themselves recruited by a clandestine news network working to expose the truth behind the DomZ attacks.

Players can embark on a new treasure hunt, with clues leading them across Hillys to uncover in-game cosmetic rewards linked to Jade's history and the pirates from Beyond Good and Evil 2. The 20th Anniversary Edition of Beyond Good & Evil also brings updates such as autosave, cross-save functionality on all platforms, reconfigured controls (fully supporting controllers, keyboards, and mice), and an option to skip cutscenes. This is not the first time that the game has been re-released since its original launch, but the HD Edition was just the base game, so this one should be fun for fans of the title.

As for platforms, the game is coming to PC, Switch, Xbox and PlayStation.
