2025 could be the next big year of gaming
Now that The Game Awards for 2024 are done, we have a few new games to look forward to in 2025 (plus some for 2026) and that means we have a good idea of the line up for next year. In fact, if all of the games that are currently dated for release in 2025 actually release in that year, we might have one of those rare diamond gaming years.
For context, both 2007 and 2015 are considered diamond gaming years with the former having Mass Effect, Assassin’s Creed, Halo 3 and Super Mario Galaxy release, while the later had Bloodborne, Fallout 4, The Witcher 3 and indies like Undertale and Shovel Knight.
So what does 2025 look like in terms of big name games, well right now these are the games that have actual release dates:
