Discover more of A Plague Tale: Innocence with the second dev diary
Developer Asobo Studio and Focus Home Interactive have released the second developer diary for A Plague Tale: Innocence, which will take you on a journey through some of the dark ages of history.
If you missed the first episode, you can catch it here, but in the second episode discover the process that went into forging a grounded, realistic world, set in one of the darkest hours of human history.
The creative team at Asobo explains their inspiration for the world they built - from visiting real French villages whose layouts, streets and buildings find their roots in medieval times, to taking cues from famous painters to craft the game’s naturalistic lighting. The carefully crafted world serves to enrich the story and the characters, and contributes to creating this moving, emotional experience.
I had the chance to check the game out a while back at E3 2017 and it has been up high on my list of games to play ever since.
The game is set to release on May 14 for PC, PlayStation 4 and Xbox One
