Fallout 4 Gets Upgraded On PC and PlayStation 4
Bethesda have announced that Fallout 4 is getting some upgrades next week on both PC and PlayStation 4, as well as a regular update for all platforms.
Beginning next week, Fallout 4’s Update 1.9 on PlayStation 4 adds support for the power of the PlayStation 4 Pro console. The update provides enhanced lighting and graphic features, including native 1440p resolution, enhanced draw distance for trees, grass, objects and NPCs and enhanced godray effects. The screen at the top is from the PlayStation 4 Pro version of the game.
For those on PC, an official high resolution texture pack is going to be released as well, as an optional download. You can see how much detail it will give you in the image above, however it is important however that in order to utilise the High-Resolution Texture Pack, make sure you have an additional 58 GB of available and that your system meets/exceeds the recommended specs below.
Recommended PC Specs
Windows 7/8/10 (64-bit OS required)
Intel Core i7-5820K or better
GTX 1080 8GB/AMD Radeon RX 490 8GB
8GB+ Ram
Finally, in addition to those features for the specific platforms, the game will also get a regular update, that will fix some elements, but will also bring new mod support to the game as well. A patch is also planned for Skyrim Special Edition as well, though no details have been announced yet.
