Rise: Race The Future Sets To Making Racing Look Good
Indie developers VD-dev Games have announced a new title, Rise: Race The Future. The studio found success after they revealed their first game, Nintendo 3DS exclusive Ironfall Invasion, which was a good game, but a techincal powerhouse for the unit, they now bring that know how to the racing genre.
But it is not just them creating whatever they want, they have partnered with the new design studio Jannarelly Automotive, which was co-founded by Anthony Jannarelly, who was the designer of cars like the Lykan Hypersport and the Fenyr Supersport, the former of which was in Fast and Furious 7.
Rise: Race The Future is a racing game set in a near future where a new kind of wheel technology will let you race on all type of terrains and especially on water. The racing style is arcade oriented and based on mastering extreme drifts. One of the clear inspiration is Sega Rally.
In addition to the arcade mode, a history mode will allow the player to unlock the futuristic cars exclusively designed for the game. Throughout the progression the enigmatic sci-fi scenario will also reveal the real purpose of Rise: Race The Future.
The game is set to release late this year and is being developed for Nintendo Wii U and Nintendo 3DS, PlayStation 4, Xbox One, Steam, iOS, Android and is I believe the second title confirmed to be in development for Nintendo NX
