Microsoft Devices launch two new Lumia smartphones in Australia
Microsoft has announced that this month Australian mobile
users will be able to get their hands on the Lumia 930 and Lumia 635.
Lumia 930
Featuring a 5-inch Full HD OLED display along with the
Snapdragon 800, quad core 2.2 GHz processor this phone will be able to handle
anything you throw at it. Add in a 20mp PureView camera and you can capture all
of life’s moments with amazing clarity.
Andrew Volard,
Telstra’s Director of Device Management: ”This beautifully designed smartphone
is only made better with Windows Phone 8.1 enhancements. Features like the Word
Flow keyboard, which allows you to swipe through letters for a faster typing
experience and Action Centre, for slide-down notifications and quick settings,
will be very popular with customers.”
“The
Windows Phone experience is also better integrated than ever on the Nokia Lumia
930. You can create photos, videos and documents right on your phone and sync
them to your Windows PC, tablet and Xbox devices. And of course Telstra’s
network -- which offers four times the 4G coverage area of any other network --
makes it easier to access all your favourite shared files in more places.”
Lumia 635
Alongside the 930 is the 635, a smaller yet still impressive
device. Sporting a 5Mp camera along with the Snapdragon 400 processor, this
little phone will get lots of work done for anyone looking for a nice cheap
phone.
Ben White,
Vice President, Mobile Marketing, Optus: “We are delighted to be launching the
new Lumia 930 and Lumia 635. On the Lumia 930 with our brand new My Plan Plus,
customers have plenty of data, and no nasty surprises if they want to use even
more. With the Nokia Lumia 635 coming to market at the attractive price of $0
on a $35 My Plan Plus with generous inclusions, customers can really maximise
all the great features of a Windows Phone.”
Release dates are yet unknown for both phones but according
to Microsoft it is this month.
