Monday 12 May 2014, Sydney, AUSTRALIA: Microsoft’s first smartphone to launch with Windows Phone 8.1 update is coming to Australia this month. The Lumia 630 is a bright, feature-packed smartphone that delivers unrivalled value.

One of the most affordable smartphones on the market, the Lumia 630 combines a ClearBlack 4.5" LCD display for better viewing angles and visibility in bright conditions,  a powerful quad core processor, as well as the  award-winning design and experiences found on high end Lumia smartphones and the leading personalisation brought by Windows Phone 8.1.

The Lumia 630 will be available for outright purchase through Harvey Norman, JB Hi-Fi, Dick Smith, Officeworks and other leading retailers from 27 May for a RRP of $249, and will also be available via Vodafone stores and online from 4 June for $179 prepaid.

The smartphone showcases a new matte black polycarbonate design with a choice of five bold interchangeable matt and gloss covers allowing users to customise their Lumia to their mood and style.

Lumia 630 owners will also enjoy the latest Windows Phone 8.1 update offering improved productivity with a smarter, slicker experience built around the user. New features include one-swipe notifications with Action Center, faster socialising thanks to the super quick and intuitive Word Flow keyboard, plus improved start screen personalisation, an extra column of live tiles, a new calendar and customisable background images.
