Ys Memoire: The Oath in Felghana is being remastered for modern platforms

Marvelous have announced that they are bringing a classic back, with the remastering of Ys Memoire: The Oath of Felghana. Check out the trailer for it below.

Ys Memoire: The Oath in Felghana chronicles the adventures of the daring protagonist Adol and his blue-haired friend Dogi as they make their way back to Dogi's native Felghana. The eight years of their absence have taken a toll on the region, now plagued by wandering monsters, an erupting volcano, and a rapacious new ruler who exploits the beleaguered inhabitants. As Dogi turns to his old master for assistance, Adol stays behind to aid the townspeople, only to become entangled in a web of intrigue and age-old secrets.

Ys Memoire features all-new “Refined” character illustrations throughout the game, but players who want the original experience can switch to the “Classic” versions at a whim. You can see an example of the difference below.

Plus newly recorded voice acting for Adol Christin, including an opening narration that sets the stage for adventure, gives new depth and gravitas to the famous hero.

The game is set to release in early 2025 and is coming to Switch, PlayStation 5 and PlayStation 4, with the first two getting a physical release as well.
