Xbox are offering up a new white Elite controller, though it is missing a few things

Xbox have announced a new version of the Elite controller, called the Core, it contains the same amazing controller, but without all the extra stuff you may not want, oh and it also comes in white.

There is no function difference between this new Elite Core and the standard Elite, just that this one doesn’t include all the paddles, stick options and other accessories.

Thankfully, if you get this Elite Core and then realise you do want those, Xbox are happy to sell them to you for a fee, which for some reason costs more than buying the standard Elite.

The Elite Core has a RRP here of $189.95 and the Component Pack is $79.95, bringing the total to $269.90, which is $20 more than the $249.95 of the Elite.

If you do want to get the Elite Core for yourself, you can order them direct from Xbox, or check with your preferred retailer.

If you already have an Elite and have misplaced some items, or you want to get ready for expanding the Elite Core, the Component Pack is for you and can be ordered here. The contents of the pack includes:

  • 1 interchangeable D-pad (standard)

  • 4 interchangeable thumbsticks (2 classic, 1 tall, 1 dome)

  • 4 paddles (2 medium, 2 mini)

  • 1 carry case

  • 1 charge dock

  • 1 USB-C cable
