The Settlers gets delayed, just weeks from its planned release, until later this year

In a move that is becoming all too familiar with Ubisoft titles, The Settlers, which was due to release on March 17, so less than two weeks from now, has been delayed, until some unknown point in time.

This decision was made, after feedback from players during the closed beta, highlighted some less than favourable results, check out the full statement from the team below.

Hello dear “The Settlers” fans

The recent Closed Beta was a great opportunity for all participating players to share valuable feedback regarding the current state of the game, and we’d like to thank you for your involvement. As we went through this feedback, it became clear to our team that the quality wasn’t yet in line with the team’s vision. Therefore, we took the decision to postpone the launch of the game to a later date.

The additional time will be used to further improve the game and push quality as our main priority for all our players. We will keep you updated in due time and give you more details on the next milestones for The Settlers.

Thank you for your continued understanding and support.

Your “The Settlers” Team

This is not the first time that Ubisoft have delayed games just weeks before their release, they did it last year when Rainbow Six Extraction was delayed a few months, just weeks before it was due to launch and they did it at the start of 2021, when they delayed Prince of Persia: The Sands of Time Remake only days before it was due to release.
