Devolver Digital and developer All Possible Futures have announced that The Plucky Squire will release on all its announced platforms on September 17, giving players a month to prepare for a real page turning adventure. In celebration of the news, a new trailer for the game has been released, check it out.

The Plucky Squire follows the magical adventures of Jot and his friends - storybook characters who discover a three-dimensional world outside the pages of their book. When the seriously unchill wizard Humgrump realises he's the villain of the book - destined to lose his battle against the forces of good for all eternity - he kicks the heroic Jot out of its pages and changes their story forever.

But he doesn’t have to go it alone, with a merry band of brave adventurers joining him on his page-turning quest to save the realm—including an eccentric DJing wizard. Humgrump doesn’t stand a chance.

The game itself is coming to PC, Switch, Xbox Series X|S and PlayStation 5, with owners of the former console in for a treat, as the game will be added to PlayStation Plus. That means if you are a member of that service, you can add the game to your PlayStation 5 game library, which is perfect for a game based around a book.
