The PlayStation 5 Pro has been revealed and comes with a whopper of a price

As many expected, the recent Technical Showcase that PlayStation hosted was for the reveal of the PlayStation 5 Pro, which comes with some beefed up specs and a price tag to match.

The console is set to go on sale here on November 7 and has a RRP of $1,199.95, which is just insane. The current PlayStation 5 Slim has a RRP of $799, which itself is more than the day one price, but this extra cost for what amounts to the delivery of a promise that was sold back in 2020, is just not acceptable.

If all that was not enough money to spend, the machine doesn’t come with the vertical stand, meaning if you want to stand it up, that costs extra and it also doesn’t come with a disc drive. That means if you have a console now and a collection of games, you have to spend another $160 on top of the price of the console to be able to enjoy your games.

The Game Boost offering, could be a great addition if it were not for this little nugget:

This feature may stabilise or improve the performance of supported PS4 and PS5 games. Enhanced Image Quality for PS4 games is also available to improve the resolution on select PS4 games.

It may stabilise, meaning that Sony have not tested the games or if they have, the results were so inconsistent they are flagging it as may to avoid people being angry with them.

For those who ware keen pre-orders will be taken starting on September 26, until then enjoy the shots of the machine released by Sony.
