The Outer Worlds is coming to Switch

In a surprising move, Obsidian Games and Private Division have announced that The Outer Worlds, will be coming to Nintendo Switch, but it won’t be day and date with the other versions, instead it will be releasing later.

The game, while developed by Obsidian is being brought to Switch by Virtous, this is the same studio that brought the recent Final Fantasy titles to Switch, along with Star-Link Battle for Atlas.

The Outer Worlds is a massive RPG, that lets you be any style of character and make decisions at any time, that can change the outcome in expected ways. I had the good fortune of seeing it at E3 2019 and was really impressed by what I saw.

Lost in transit while on a colonist ship bound for the furthest edge of the galaxy, you awake decades later only to find yourself in the midst of a deep conspiracy threatening to destroy the Halcyon colony. As you explore the furthest reaches of space and encounter various factions, all vying for power, the character you decide to become will determine how this player-driven story unfolds. In the corporate equation for the colony, you are the unplanned variable.
