The next entry in The Sims will be free to play as revealed by Behind The Sims

In the recent Behind the Sims show, which delves into all things upcoming for The Sims series, it was revealed that The Sims 5, not the official name, would be free to start.

When The Sims 4 went free to start last year, many were hoping that it would be the same for Project Rene, the codename given to what some folks call The Sims 5 and it seems that was the case. While the base game will be obtainable for free on PC, Mac, Consoles and mobile (Yes Project Rene will deliver the same game on multiple formats) it will be the expansions and content packs that cost money.
