The new Mercenaries mode comes to Ghost Recon Wildlands

Ubisoft has announced that tomorrow, July 19 will see an all new game mode arrive for Tom Clancy’s Ghost Recon Wildlands, which will test players in an entirely new way, in an 8 player PvPvE mode that will require you to rescue some one and then be the first to get on board the evac chopper, so practice your best Arnie impression.

At the beginning of the match, the extraction point is unknown and players will have no ranged weapons, gear or items. Players will need to locate and activate radio transmitters to shrink the possible extract zone on the map. In the meantime, players will fight to be the first to gain intel on transmitter locations while looting gear, weapons and money. After the first player has activated three transmitters, the chopper will head to the extraction point and once landed, the location will be revealed to everyone. The first player to fill their extraction gauge and board the chopper wins.

Players will start with only a melee weapon and have to get everything as they fight forward, however if they perish, they will respawn at the beginning, without anything they picked up. But it is not just losing your items, if you are hit with any weapon that can deal penetration damage, you will slowly bleed over time, which will lead to your death and then respawn, if you are not paying attention.
