The Last of Us will tv screens this January

HBO and PlayStation have announced that The Last of US, the TV series will arrive onto screens on January 16th here in Australia, when it airs on Binge. Those in America will get it on HBO Max on the 15th, but thanks to time zones, it will be the same time in both countries.

In celebration of the news, we also got a new poster for the show, giving viewers a look at the world that awaits Joel and Ellie, check it out.

The show is based on the 2013 game “The Last of Us,” and tells the story of what happened twenty years after modern civilization has been destroyed. Joel, a hardened survivor, is hired to smuggle Ellie, a 14-year-old girl, out of an oppressive quarantine zone. What starts as a small job soon becomes a brutal, heartbreaking journey, as they both must traverse the U.S. and depend on each other for survival.

Pedro Pascal and Bella Ramsey play both Joel and Ellie respectively. If you missed it last month, check out the first teaser trailer for the show below.
